Dawn,

As usual, an amazing list of resources! Thank you for sharing.

For those of you on IPADD unfamiliar with Dawn or One Place for Special Needs,

if you work with or have an adult family member with developmental disabilities,

there are plenty of online activity ideas, learning strategies, communication

strategies such as social stories and visual supports, which Dawn (an amazing

mom) finds and collects for you in one place...hence, the name of her website!

Many are written with kids in mind, but are either appropriate for all ages or

can be adapted pretty easily. And she gives us this information freely. Dawn

is a fellow-Napervillian and we are lucky to have her working away at her

computer finding resources for her own kids as well as for the rest of us.

Thank you!!!

Laurie

Subject: 4th of July special needs links

Ready for the Fourth of July? I collected many resources for special needs

families including fireworks safety, handling a fear of fireworks, how to watch

a parade and fireworks with special needs individuals, a fireworks social story

and many easy to do crafts and activities with a patriotic theme. Enjoy! Dawn
