Riding the trolley

Today we celebrated 's birthday by hiring one of the smaller Naperville

rolleys for an hour ride around the Riverwalk and downtown. She was nervous at

irst, very stimmie, but then partway through she just started smiling...and oh

oy was it a great smile! :) She invited about 15 of the folks from her Ray

raham day program to come along, too, and I'm not sure what they liked the

est, the ride or the choice of small water bottles or Diet Cokes (I think it

as the Cokes, they were a huge hit). But for my girl it was the ride that made

er happy and for that I am very very grateful tonight.

We stopped near one of the Riverwalk fountains, everyone got out and we took

ictures. Two ladies, I'm guessing in their 60's, stopped to watch our group

nd at first I thought 'oh no, one of them is gonna give us a look that will

poil this moment'. But I was wrong, they both smiled & then walked up to the

river, inquired about her prices, and took a brochure. I heard one of them say

o the other 'I'm telling Joe this is what I want on MY next birthday!'. :)

Today was a GOOD day. :)
