The McHenry Community Health Center, which is part of the Greater Elgin Family

Care Center, opened Tuesday, October 11th at its new location, 3901 Mercy Dr.,

across the street from Centegra Hospital. Hours are 8am to 7:30pm, Monday

through Thursday, and 8am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday.

The primary care facility serves pediatric, obstetric and family care

patients, and accepts commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and other

clients, irregardless of a patient's ability to pay. The clinic's phone # is

(815) 363-9900.

The McHenry Co. Dept. of Health will also open offices at this site November

1st serving WIC and Family Case Management clients. The Greater Elgin Family

Care Center also runs a monthly health clinic for uninsured, publicly insured

and under-insured residents at the Family Service and Community Mental Health

Care offices, 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry.
