Arc Action Alert COGFA to Vote on Closing State Institutions

Take Action Today! Tomorrow legislators will vote on the

closing of the state institutions Mabley and ville. Is this email not

Action Needed Today!

We just learned that the Commission on Forecasting and

Governmental Accountability, COGFA, will be voting on closing Mabley and

ville Developmental Centers, Thursday, October 27th, at 8:30 a.m.

Below are the emails and phone numbers of the

legislators on COFGA. I urge you to call their Springfield Offices right now and

say:

“Support the closing of ville and Mabley

Developmental Centers.â€

Please pass this action alert on to other advocates!

In other news, Rep enholtz has introduced HB 3858.

House Bill 3858, appropriates $20,000,000 from the Department of Human Services

Community Services Fund to the Department of Human Services for grants and

administrative expenses associated with the Department's rebalancing efforts and

in support of the Department's efforts to expand home and community-based

services, including rebalancing and transition costs associated with compliance

and consent decrees!
