Guest guest
Oh , I'll sign it in a second! Next week will be our first med refill....I'll now expect problems and may start a few days earlier than usual (usual is one or 2 days-worth of meds left). In a message dated 8/17/2011 4:19:21 P.M. Trying to refill my daughter's prescription for Abilfy. Even though our Medicaid card does say until the end of August, Medicaid is rejecting it. I gave the pharmacy the info for RX Script, which the pharmacist said is notorious for not covering a lot of drugs, and it's not covered. So now she had to FAX a form over to the doctor and by the time this mess is settled (if it is settled), Angel won't have any more meds left. Does anyone know if a class action lawsuit has been filed against idiot Quinn for this nightmare? I'm ready to join it. ------------------------------------ Groups Links
Guest guest
I understand your agravation. I went through this with Lexapro for my daughter. I was able to get it in generic from www.canadageneric.com. I still had to pay for it, but it was a lot cheaper than the name brand here, and it is not available in generic here yet. Guest guest
Another problem is that Medicaid has one list of drugs covered, and each of the Managed Care companies have their list. So with 3 different lists –(which I checked all) there is NO list that has ALL of my daughters meds on it. I have been working on prior approval for all her meds, and hope someone will fill them until it gets settled. Have you noticed on your August Medicaid card – it has the name of either Illini Care or Aetna Better Health on it?
Guest guest
I will check the Medicaid card. I didn't check it when I got it. Guest guest
The Federal Government has mandated that a certain percentage of Medicaid clients need to be converted to INTEGRATED CARE.  If you have Medicare or if you have other comprehensive commercial insurance, you will remain on " regular " Medicaid. If you are getting mail that says you need to sign up for integrated care, you need to be sure that Medicaid has the front & back of your other health insurance card. If this coverage is not on your Medicaid case, they think you do not have other coverage - and need to sign up for Integrated Care -> Aetna Better Health or IlliniCare. " Regular " Medicaid will work the same as always. They have changed their formulary medications on July 1, 2011. Many drugs that were covered in the past, now require prior authorization.  If you do not have Medicare or other comprehensive commercial health insurance, AND you are 65 years old or older, or are blind or have a disability, you will no longer have " regular " Medicaid. You will have to choose either: Aetna Better Health or Illinicare. If you do not choose, you will be assigned one of these companies. Each company has it's own rules: drugs they cover, hospitals you can go to, doctors you can go to.....etc.....  Unfortunately, this is not a choice we have.
