Thanks, On behalf of the parent community, Lynda Canel, Shari Coe, Fishman, Meyers, Jodi Newmark, Carol Patinkin and Felice Sommerfield On behalf of Keshet, Abbie Weisberg, Executive Director On behalf of Jewish Child and Family Services, Sitron, Executive Director and Beth Wyman, Senior Manager, Services for People with Disabilities On behalf of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation, Debbie Covington, Associate V.P. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____________________________________________ We need your input Ensuring everyone has the opportunity to actively participate and be engaged in community life is a core value for most of us. For individuals with a variety of disabilities, community involvement can require additional support. Of particular concern is the availability of high-quality supported living options. A group of interested community members, along with representatives of Jewish Child and Family Services, Keshet and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago have been exploring options for the creation of sustainable solutions to ensure people with intellectual/developmental disabilities have viable housing and related support options available. This population will be our initial focus, but our hope is to expand to supported living options for people with physical disabilities and chronic mental illness. In order to better understand the scope of need in our community, as well as assess potential interest in participating, the group has forwarded this request to a variety of interested community members and stakeholders. Please take just a couple of minutes to click on the link below and complete a brief survey. Your input is valuable to the process and the group looks forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much for your interest and consideration. Please feel free to forward this. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VQZ5J6C
