It has involved over 140 provider organizations and assisted countless people with developmental disabilities identify and accomplish dreams they have for their lives. Come to this free training to learn how your organization can carry on this important work. Outcome: You will obtain curricula/Power Point presentations and training on how to use them to carry out the three New Visions workshops at your particular organization. The three workshops that you will learn to facilitate include: Dare to Dream: Helps people with developmental disabilities identify their dreams as well as people who can support their dreams. Dreaming New Visions: Offers family members ideas on how to think outside the box to support their loved ones and make their dreams come true. Bridging the Gap Between Dreams and Reality: Assists support staff in understanding how they can help people with developmental disabilities envision, express, and achieve their dreams. Who: People who support people with developmental disabilities in the school system, community provider agencies, SODC’s, support groups, family networks. Participants are encouraged to bring a self-advocate to the workshop.
