Guest guest
From Great Lakes ADA Center: Hi Laurie, I spoke this morning to someone you referred to me with this question. The U.S. Department of Transportation regulations only require that an attendant ride free of charge on complimentary paratransit service. The regulations do not require transit providers to allow attendants traveling with a person with a disability on fixed route service, busses or trains, to ride free of charge. This would include Metra, Pace and CTA busses and trains.
