Although the individuals administering this program have been kind,

understanding, and somewhat helpful ; I agree with every word regarding the

formation of this horrible situation. It seems to be created to benefit unions

at the expense of our state's most defenceless citizens. I hope you share with

the list the names of those persons responsible.

pathetic list. I will ask her doctor for instructions on weening her off the

meds. For regular medical care, I'll take her to the ER. Screw this freakin

state. The most vulnerable of its citizens, older adults and adults with

disabilities have been banished to this horrible program. The parasites still

get the free ride.

,

Have you tried Arc of Illinois advocacy toolkit? I called Faye and she sent me

the sample letter to ask for a single case agreement. This prolongs the period

you have to choose a PCP.

Thais, no I haven't, but thanks for the tip. I didn't know I could delay the

period.

:

I would definitely encourage you to contact Hall at Aetna, unless you

signed with Illini Care...

1-866-212-2851.

I don't disagree with you, but does seem to be able to solve at least some

of our immediate problems...I am removing identification, but sending all

comments to and to Hamos, head of the agency spearing heading

this...

wasn't in, the other lady gave me the names of two female doctors (Angel

won't let a male doctor examine her and Aetna's website doesn't list the

doctor's gender).

I have had A SIMILAR list of doctors = Kane County.

We are planning on signing up @ Kane County VNA.

The whole clinic is signed up with Aetna – which doesn’t have any hospitals

signed up YET!!!

But we can pick a nurse practitioner for our PCP.

she can “refer†us to the other doctors Kim has, and we will sign them up

for the single case agreement.

If she is on more than 1 psychotropic or neurological drug – you may not even

want to think about weaning her off of these.

It takes about 8 weeks to decrease each med. We have tried this twice with Kim,

and will NEVER do it again unless she is admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

We lowered one drug from 80 mg to 40 mg per day – WHAT A DISASTER!!!!!
