Guest guest
I was checking my son's bank acct yesterday & noticed that his deposit came in from the SSA. Except that the check he received was $671. It's usually $850. My hubby got his usual amt for his SS, but then he also got a check for $671. I've been checking the deposits, because his check book has a lot less than his bank acct says he does. My fil says he's gotten adjustment checks before, so not sure if that what got or not. I know that I'll be calling SS this week when I'm off, but thought somebody might have an answer. If his check is an adjustment, guess I'll have to figure out what kind of life insurance to get him, as he'll be way over his amt he can have for Medicaid. Guest guest
Is he working? If yes, does his job pay into FICA? If yes, he can get a different type of Medicaid that will allow him to have $25,000 in his name (instead of $2,000) and qualified retirement accounts do not count.  From: Liz <dljar58@...> IPADDUnite Sent: Saturday, September 3, 2011 6:23 PM Subject: SSDI question  I was checking my son's bank acct yesterday & noticed that his deposit came in from the SSA.
