Space is still available for NSSED's Association of Parents and Staff workshop

" Teaching Self-Care, Puberty Awareness and Personal Safety to Students with

Disabilities " . The program will be held on Tuesday, May 17th from 9:30-11:30

a.m. at the New Trier High School Northfield campus. More details and

Ms. Wrobel is a teacher and speech and language pathologist who has taught and

worked with students with autism and disabilities for more than fifteen years.

This workshop will address strategies for: promoting self-care and independence,

emphasizing modesty and privacy, increasing personal safety, reducing fear and

confusion and teaching sexuality-related issues to children with disabilities.

From North: I-94 (IL 41) to Tower Rd. exit; go south on Frontage Rd. which turns

From West: I-294 (Tri-State Tollway); exit east on Willow Rd. to Happ Rd.

South on Happ to Northfield Campus. Park on west side of Happ.
