A life changed for the better is practice based evidence.

 

The Illinois Association of Microboards and atives is intended for those

who want to explore possibilities of alternative services for themselves or

their loved ones.  The project assists persons with disabilities and their

families and friends to create non-profit corporations that allow them to live

self-directed lives through the use of person-centered planning, community

supports and resource management.

The Friendship Circle will be hosting a community event honoring our

Teen Volunteers and featuring nationally acclaimed speaker Marc Elliot: What

Makes You Tic?

Marc Elliot, who has Tourette’s Syndrome, will speak on inclusion, awareness

and the effect of a disability on the child, the family and the community. Also,

Listen Up! A Cappella Vocal Band.

At the Westin Chicago North Shore, 601 N. Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling

Admission $26, Students $15
