Guest guest
Does it have to be Children's? Because Rush has some excellent neurologists who specialize in epilepsy/seizure management. Seizures Can anybody suggest an excellent neurologist specializing in seizures at Children's? Thank you! B. Guest guest
Serum B6 is another that could cause seizures. We recently had a pt who was several years post op with seizures/coma. She had not taken any vitamins for years. She could not tolerate oral foods and had complications with tube feeding, so we eventually had to give TPN with vitamins for several weeks. Shortly after starting the TPN, she began to be able to tolerate regular foods and we transitioned to a regular diet. She has been noncompliant with taking her vitamins (she doesn't take any at all) despite regular reinforcement on our side. Does anyone know of any specific nutrient deficiencies that can cause seizures?
