Guest guest
Hi -- I just wanted to recommend a great book about a family's experience with autism. It is called " Dancing with Max " by Colson. It is not a book about curing autism. It is more about discovering the gifts, hope and love of a person affected with autism as well as those same attributes about yourself. It is about living with autism and not by the rules of autism. For me, this book helped me see more of the enriching life around us and not be so afraid to discover and learn something deeper. It is expanded my parameters and helped me to realize I can take more chances and it will be okay. It is thought provoking and feeds your heart and soul. It makes me want to dance. I hope you enjoy it, too. Take care, Holly
Guest guest
Here's a little more about it, from Amazon. And yes, Chuck Colson, co-author ( & grandfather) is the former Nixon staffer who went to jail and later founded Prison Ministries. I guess he's used to taking a challenging situation and turning it to the good of others. Would that all our kids had grandfathers like that. http://www.amazon.com/Dancing-Max-Mother-Broke-Free/dp/0310293685/ref=sr_1_1?ie=\ UTF8 & qid=1309450011 & sr=8-1 -Gail ________________________________ From: Omaha <chicagoapraxia@...> IPADDUnite Sent: Wed, June 29, 2011 12:40:26 PM Subject: " Dancing with Max " Hi -- I just wanted to recommend a great book about a family's experience with autism.
