Three programs have been identified as being effective programs for their successful competitive employment strategies benefitting people with ASD. This three-part series will highlight each of these programs. POW & R has many qualities that will be discussed in the webcast including: including staff knowledge of ASD, supported employment services to transition-age youth, on-site training, and long-term fiscal strategy. About the Presenters Theda Ellis has extensive experience with vocational rehabilitation programs. She has an M.Ed in Rehabilitation Counseling, a certificate in rehabilitation management, and an MBA. She is currently the Executive Director of Autism Delaware, which has grown from an all-volunteer grassroots advocacy agency to an autism service agency with plans to launch residential and clinical services as well as to expand vocational and employment services. Katina Demetriou, serves as the Director of POW & R, a service of Autism Delaware. She has been working in the disabilities field for over fifteen years.
