The Arc of Illinois

June 14, 2011

Leaders in The Arc:

I am extremely pleased to introduce Shirley A. . Shirley will become the

new Executive Director of the Family Support Network on July 1st!

Shirley A. is an energetic and self-motivated team player, with twenty

plus years of advocacy and experience in assisting families locate

services/supports and promoting change. She is a resident of South Holland and

currently employed as a Family Advocate with The Arc of Illinois.

Shirley serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for Envision Unlimited

(formerly CARC) and Chairperson of the Program Committee which provides services

to over 1500 disabled individuals daily.

Shirleys philosophy in life is everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their

full potential.

I have known Shirley for a number of years. I believe we first became friends at

The Arcs Public Policy Seminar in Washington D.C. and that friendship has grown

since then. She is an articulate, passionate advocate who will continue the

great work of Charlotte Cronin.

Please welcome Shirley as the new Executive Director of the Family Support

Network. She can be reached at: Shirley_5366@...
