Guest guest
That is good news! Thanks to Ellen , IPADDUnite and information sharing. I knew about the " grace period " and moved all of Quentin's annual visits to this month. I was on a waitlist to see the neurologist/epileptogist and I got a call yesterday saying there was an opening due to a " whole lot of cancellations " After speaking to this person it seems all of his patients over 18 had switched from medicaid to Illinicare but since that is out of network for Children's Memorial everyone cancelled their appointments. So she told me " don't switch " to Illinicare or Aetna " I let her know we didn't have the option this is mandatory. So she learned something too. Guest guest
You are very welcome Shauna. Though I hate to provide one-sided information, Aetna Better Health Care representative Hall has been very responsive. She has encouraged me to encourage anyone having difficulties with this new and challenging system, to call or email her. I know there are many problems with this new system. It appears that we are stuck with it, at least right now, so, we have to figure it out, in order for our loved ones with disabilities to get the care they need. I have made countless calls to try to get a dentist in our area, and I know this is nothing compared with how scary it is for those with major health/medical needs. Once again, here is the information: Caroline () Hall Aetna Better Health Member Services Manager 1-866-212-2851 www.AetnaBetterHealth.com/Illinois Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@...
