Guest guest
Is it necessary to keep all paper receipts for everything purchased for our SSI recipients? Things like restaurants, Target items, Dominick's? Re: Question: SSI/ Food Lori- SNAP benefit looks at HOUSEHOLD income. If she is her OWN household - pays to ive there AND eats, cooks & shops separately, she may qualify for SNAP. (own ousehold - they will only look at her income & her assets). hen you spoke to SSI, did you tell them that she pays for where she lives AND hat she eats? We have been collecting $250 for rent for my 22 year old daughter for the past 3 ears. My daughter had her Redetermination For SSI recently. After reviewing the aperwork I noticed that it states that she does NOT buy food separately from ther household members. This is not true. She has paid (debit card) for her own ood separately for the past three years. Her food costs average $300 (she is on medical diet for seizure control) so, it eats up a huge portion of her check. My question is ... would she be able to receive payment to be used for buying ood as opposed to paying us rent? I'd really like to not have to charge her ent much longer. I am aware of the SNAP program, but because we charge her rent t is my understanding that she does not qualify for the Link card. Any help would be most appreciated ~ ori Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------
