Each guest graced the discussion with a unique eloquence in describing how he or she managed the affliction in life and on the job. One of the guests was McGrath, U.S. regional director of the McGuire Program, an internationally recognized program that helps people recover from stuttering. A business with $1 million or less in gross receipts for the prior year or with no more than 30 employees during the past year is eligible for the Targeted Jobs Tax Credit, which is 50 percent of expenditures made to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The tax credit ranges from $250 to $10,250. Brain injuries are the number one cause of death and disability for American children and young adults. Over three million new cases of brain injury occur each year with over 765,000 American youth entering an emergency department resulting in over 80,000 hospitalizations, over 17,000 permanent disabilities and over 11,000 deaths.
