Guest guest
Does anyone know the number to call in Naperville to get transportation to the hospital that is covered by medicaid? I just called the fire dept and they said naperville doesn't have non emergency transport only ambulences and their not sure if they are covered. Called a medical transport service who said it would take 3-5 business days. I tried to carry Quentin to the toilet this morning and not only is he too heavy, he screamed in pain and tried to pull my hair out. He has a badly sprained ankle (I think )following a seizure yesterday so I need to get him to but don't have anyone to help me carry him downstairs into the car. For now I gave him ibuprofin and he is sleeping. Thanks, Thais
Guest guest
Got to love the sense of humor of this group! Saws... crutches...I am smiling as much as I am grimacing for all the trauma that Thais and Quentin went through today! Hope Quentin is in less pain and heals quickly. He had better heal well...it is almost time for some group biking... Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@...
Guest guest
Thanks Sherri, That's the number I called and they do not have same day service but set up the file, it takes 3-5 business days and then they can transport you to medical appointments (which 911 will not) made in advance. Guest guest
No, Margie not at all. It was during a seizure. He has intractable seizures at least once a week for the last 8 years so considering that this is only the 2nd time he has injured himself we feel very lucky. The first time he simply fell off the couch. We have always tried to keep a good sense of humor throughout our life journey with Quentin. Trite (and tried) but true...Laughter is the best medcine.
