Life’s Plan Inc. has been serving individuals with disabilities for over 25 years in protecting private assets in a Medicaid qualified trust while insuring public benefit programs such as SSI and Medicaid are never jeopardized. This mini grant is to provide grant funding of up to $2000 to help individuals with disabilities or mental illness start up a micro-industry business. The business is to be run by a person with a disability with the needed support from staff or family to allow the person to be more economically independent. Examples of these types of micro-industries include but are not limited to: a shredding company, jewelry making, used book resale, greeting cards, vending machine business etc…. for the purpose of giving these individuals the opportunity to start up their own small micro-business.
