Guest guest
Dear All, I posted earlier about this film and want to give them another shot at some response from all of you. This effort is wonderful and can only help our community. Kathy Lipke mom to (29 yr/old with Syndrome) and (wonderful sister and daughter) Dear fans of Play On Productions! As the month of April draws closer, our thoughts turn to those who have been affected by autism, as April is National Autism Awareness Month. Though statistics vary from publication to publication, some have claimed that as many as 1 out of every 110 children born are diagnosed with autism, and that it has become the most diagnosed affliction in history. While awareness of autism, and other developmental disabilities is growing, funding and services are being cut state-wide! To contact your local legislator about disability funding or any other issue of concern, click on the following link, and all you need is your address!! -http://www.elections.state.il.us/DistrictLocator/DistrictOfficialSearchByAddres\ s.aspx With these individuals and families in our thoughts, Play On Productions is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday April 9th, at the Hampton Inn in Skokie, IL. The Hampton Inn is located at 5201 Old Orchard Rd., Skokie, IL 60077. The event will run from 6 to 10 PM. At the event, Play On Productions has a goal of raising $10,000 for their new film, NightLights, which will deal with autism and the way it affects the family, both positively and negatively. YOU can help Play On Productions reach it's financial goal of creating a moving, realistic, true-to-life film about autism, and advocate for those who are unable to advocate for themselves!
