Guest guest
FYI Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... FREE boccia training course Just a reminder to please let me know if you plan to attend the FREE training course for boccia officials on Friday, June 10 at Lake Zurich High School. It is from 9am to 5pm and includes lunch. Attendees need not pursue the officials’ certification. This clinic is a fantastic opportunity for coaches, parents, or athletes to learn more about the sport. EVERYONE is welcome! Please note that if you do intend to become an official, there is a written test on Friday, followed by observation of your officiating skills in the tournament on Saturday. If you do well, you will receive provisional certification. Observation of your officiating skills at Boccia Nationals this summer is the next step toward national level authorization. If you took this course last year and would like to be a national level official, you must retake the classroom session on Friday and be observed in competition on Saturday. I appreciate your interest to grow the sport of boccia in Chicagoland! THANKS! Pamela J.
