Guest guest
Hi all. Rubin, if you are out there, I could really use your name rubber stamped on a response. I am currently in Family Law court to determine continuation of adult child support (judge agrees, we both should pay 50% of all 's unique monthly expenses, however so far I rent/ fiar share, room and board is not factored into our presenting documents). However, my lawyer (family law), and I are trying to figure out what portion of the SSI (ie:1/3, or 1/2 or 3/4) is the max for " fair share household expenses " a term used in leiu of rent or room and board r/t tax implications. I know that this has been a frequent topic here, but because so many people answer ( and at times we get a bit off topic), I get confused, and therefore want to be exactly sure of the percentage of SSI allowed for theses expenses. I am thinking it is1/3 correct. This is where I would realy appreciate or one of the attorney's chiming in b/c of the credability issue r/t their professional expertise and practice of law. I am also double checking because, I also got the judge to order the child support into the OBRA trust (thanks yto the handouts from 's lecture about Special needs Trusts). So in the next week or two, I am able to go apply for SSI, so I must also have this fact straight for that resaon. Thanks, Diane Stone
