The DJ/MC is dedicated to the idea that finding and naming the disability experience in relation to our overall stories as human beings is an important process for social change. Mentors and mentees will not only spend quality one-on-one time together, but also participate in workshops to understand and change the world around us. Invest in the life of a young person with a disability. We’re seeking dedicated adults willing to spend time mentoring and discovering the potential in a high school student with a disability. Adults with disabilities, non-disabled adults with disability experience and/or people of color are strongly encouraged to apply. Mentoring will begin on February 19, 2011 and run through November 2011. Mentoring activities will total about 6 to 7 hours a month. If you’re a caring, fabulous, responsible adult, we need you!
