Ever thought about being a mentor to a young person with a disability?

DJ MC

Join the Disability Justice Mentoring Collective!

The DJ/MC is dedicated to the idea that finding and naming the disability

experience in relation to our overall stories as human beings is an

important

process for social change. Mentors and mentees will not only spend quality

one-on-one time together, but also participate in workshops to understand

and

change the world around us.

Invest in the life of a young person with a disability. We’re seeking

dedicated

adults willing to spend time mentoring and discovering the potential in a

high

school student with a disability. Adults with disabilities, non-disabled

adults

with disability experience and/or people of color are strongly encouraged to

apply.

Mentoring will begin on February 19, 2011 and run through November 2011.

Mentoring activities will total about 6 to 7 hours a month. If you’re a

caring,

fabulous, responsible adult, we need you!
