I just watched a very interesting and amazing TV show tonight on 7:00 PM  on

Channel 20 (Comcast) called:

Autism: Coming of Age (documentary 2011)

Talked about person centered planning for individuals with Autism for when they

age out of school: how it is cheaper and would provide a better quality of life

for our family members. (sorry about this next piece of sarcasm -

HELLO!!???!!)     They highlighted 3 families. One young man likes to skate and

the mom applied at a skating rink for him to give out and reshelve the

skates. He is non-verbal but indicates that he is happy with what is being

said - using hand gestures.

I just called Comcast to ask when it will be re-played and the woman looked at

the guide until April 25 and could not find it.

Did anyone else see it? or tape it?  I would LOVE for our congressmen to see

it!!!!!!

The credits thanked the Missouri Department of Developmental

Disabilites.

I watched the same program. Enjoyed it! We are going to try to put it on a

DVD. We did DVR it and my husband told me we can put it on a DVD. I can have

him make a couple and send one to you. Send me your address.

I caught this show on channel 11/PBS (quite by accident) this afternoon. It was

terrific! I liked the fellow who liked to vacuum -- perfect job for him at the

Marriott :)

Just watched the show last night (from DVR recording). About the fellow who got

the full-time vacuuming job at the Marriott: wonder if I could clone him and

have him visit my house weekly. I hate vacuuming!!
