years experience in the holistic/self-development field. is the founder

Reiki Level One Class

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is universal life-force healing energy and is an

ancient Japanese healing art. Reiki is a simple, but a powerful healing

technique that replenishes and rebalances physical energy, health and inner

harmony. Learning level one Reiki allows you to use this nourishing energy to

help yourself and others maintain a higher level of balance and health. Reiki

is used with the purpose of strengthening the energy system (aura), so the body

may heal. Reiki energy is gentle, loving and boundless. We find different

words for this fundamental force in all the different cultures and religions of

the world. To the Japanese it is Ki, to the Chinese Chi, Christians call it

Light, Hindus say Prana, and in our modern western language, we use the words

bioenergy, or cosmic energy.

Reiki amplifies one's own innate abilities to heal, as well as balancing the

mind, body and spirit, thus activating a feeling of well-being. This is great

for all of us.

How do you give Reiki?

Reiki is passed through the practitioner to the client through gentle,

purposeful hovering of the hands over specific areas and chakras through the

front and back of the body. Life-enhancing energy is directed to the client,

balancing all levels of existence, creating a feeling of alignment from head to

toe in the physical, emotional, mental and the spiritual body.

During this daylong class, Reiki level one teaches the basic theories and

procedures. This includes guided meditation, a history of Reiki, hand positions,

and how hand positions affect certain organs. You will receive the attunement,

which allows Reiki energy to flow naturally from your hands for giving Reiki

energy to yourself and others.

All participants will receive a book and level one Reiki certification.

This class is for beginners.

Tuition: $232 includes a one-day class and a comprehensive textbook. Tuition

for Reiki training is non-refundable. If for emergency reasons you are unable

to attend the class you signed up for, you are invited to attend the next class

that is convenient for you.
