How to Set Up Representative Payee Account

As promised, once I found out, I would share. Really it is very simple, just as

I suspected. This is one of the simple questions I was speaking about a week or

so ago, that should be very easy to share the answers. (It's not taking away

anyones livelyhood.)

The question was: How to name/ title the account that will be set up solely to

receive the SSI funds and ONLY the SSI funds.

According to the Social Security Manual titles " A Guide for Representative

Payees "

(on page 11): Here's two ways: (the wording is straight from the manual word for

word)

1) " {Beneficiary's name} " by [your name], representative payee. "

or

2) " [Your name], representative payee for {beneficiary's name}. "

I hope this infromation can be retained in some way in files. However, since

this is not my personal advise but quoted using the SS manual they hand out as a

reference, maybe the page (p.17) can be copied or something.
