Over the course of the next six months, HFS will be enrolling certain individuals in suburban Cook County and in the Counties of Lake, Kane, DuPage, Will and Kankakee into the two HMOs awarded contracts to operate the Integrated Care Program. All adults over the age of 18 in these counties who are eligible for Medicaid as a result of being elderly or disabled who are not also eligible for Medicare and who are not eligible with a spend-down must be enrolled in the Integrated Care Program. This is a mandatory program and those individuals who do not choose one of the HMOs will be auto-assigned to one by the Department. In order to maximize the number of people who make an active choice, we are asking your organization to participate in the enrollment process as an enrollment facilitator. As an enrollment facilitator, your organization will provide assistance to individuals as they consider their choices and attempt to find the best HMO for them and help them through the actual enrollment process with the Client Enrollment Broker. Enrollment facilitators will be paid a $20 fee for each individual they assist in making an active enrollment with the Client Enrollment Broker. In order to participate as an enrollment facilitator, your organization must register with the Client Enrollment Broker and attend a training seminar. This is a train-the-trainer seminar, so not every individual who will assist with enrollment need attend. HFS is requesting that each organization limit the number of enrollment facilitators to three, with one enrollment facilitator designated as the lead facilitator. The lead facilitator will serve as the point of contact for your organization for the Client Enrollment Broker. The lead facilitator is also the individual that should attend the train-the-trainer seminar for your organization. The lead facilitator will take back the information and training materials that are provided at the seminar to train your organizations additional enrollment facilitator staff. The train-the-trainer seminar will be offered on the following dates: .. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ..
