(NOEWAIT) R word on SNL

Hello everyone,

I am writing to ask everyone who is on Facebook to please go to this link

where I protested the use of the R word in a skit last night on Saturday

Night Live. I ask you to forward this message to everyone you know in the

disability community and flood this discussion board with responses.

The skit was called Second Hand News, part of weekend update. I saw this

myself so this is a report of what I saw and heard. Second Hand news is a

goofy piece where a guy acts like he is reporting serious news but it is all

from the rumor mill. The " news " gets all mixed up because the person

relaying the rumor is ignorant himself. In the segment that used the R

word, he said... Brett Favre finally says he is retarded.. When questioned

about Brett Favre actually " retiring " not that he is " retarded " , the guy in

the piece said no, he definitely said he is retarded... why would he take

pictures of his weenie if he weren't retarded? To which Seth Meyers said

" good point " .

PLEASE....FLOOD SNL with responses.
