I am anticipating a very important meeting with Secretary Saddler later this

week. The topic for that meeting will be further budget cuts for this fiscal

year.

In preparation for that meeting, I need you to generate as many calls as

possible to the Governors office. The message is very simple: NO CUTS TO

DISABILITY SERVICES!

At this very moment, discussions are underway about the elimination of

disability services. It is vital that you make your calls today.

Yes, I did call, but I feel the same way, Ellen. Plus I distinctly

remember being asked to call and write asking for an increase in state

revenue-taxes. Well, the income tax was raised from 3% to 5%. Is that

helping our loved ones with disabilities from losing services?? No,

doesn't sound like it. I know that this state is in a huge mess, but

there has to be other ways to cut spending. How about cutting the

lawmakers salaries to start with??
