Guest guest
FYI And by the way...I registered Noah for a physician through Aetna. What they don't tell you ahead of time is that they will not talk to you unless you fax them your guardianship document or a medical power of attorney. Once we did that, they did what they said they would do...they called us back and let us register Noah. I basically selected a physician from the list online, close to his group home. One of my concerns is that the hospitals listed for Aetna are not the hospitals in the neighborhood in which Noah lives and they are not hospitals at which this physician has privileges. I am hoping that Aetna will eventually sign up one of the several good hospitals in our area... We are planning to continue Noah's routine medical care and medication management with his current psychiatrist and internist, and pay out of pocket. Managed Care is of use to us for medication (the formulary was adequate for our needs, thus far...) and for emergency/hospital care, should he need it. I am praying he stays healthy... The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an update on the implementation of the program. The meeting will be held via videoconference from 1-3 p.m., at two locations: 401 S. Clinton, 7th Floor in Chicago, and 201 S. Grand Avenue East, 3rd Floor of the Bloom Building in Springfield. A dial-in option will not be available for the meeting. The department is pleased to announce the first enrollment packets have been sent out to potential enrollees, who are eligible for the Integrated Care Program. Attached, for your information, you will find a sample of the enrollment material those enrollees have received - or will soon be receiving. Enrollment material is being sent in Spanish for Spanish-speaking enrollees. The document attached includes the Integrated Care Program Greeting Card, which is the first piece of mail enrollees see in regards to the program. The enrollment packet follows the greeting card in the mail, approximately two weeks later. The enrollment packet is made up of five pieces: a letter, tips and instructions on how to enroll, an informational guide, a list of community helpers that can help enrollees sign up, and comparison charts of the two plans. The comparison charts will be updated weekly during roll-out; as network numbers increase, new charts will be printed and included in the enrollment packets. And, the last document is a spreadsheet showing the program's roll-out schedule; the department will mail out approximately 3,000 enrollment packets per week, over the course of three months. Thank you for your input into the development of these documents. Your continued interest and support of this important program is appreciated.
