Arc Action Alert Wednesday is Call Your Legislator Day

Leaders in The Arc:

Thanks to those of you who have been meeting with your Representatives and

Senators.

The simple truth is that your local legislators are not aware of the severe cuts

to disability services! They have no clue!

This means we really have to step up our advocacy with our State Representatives

and Senators! They cannot help us if they do not know the extent of the damage

these cuts will have on children and adults with disabilities. You must contact

them!

Those cuts are eliminating the Family Assistance Program, eliminating all

Respite Services, eliminating the Epilepsy Grants, eliminating the UIC Family

Clinic and a 10% cut to the Children and Adult Home-Based Services Program and a

6% cut to all other community based services including CILA, ICFDDs, SNFPeds,

Day Services, etc

TODAY IS CALL YOUR LEGISLATOR DAY TO END THE CUTS!

We need to rock their offices with so many calls, they cant ignore us!

Your message is, End the Cuts to Disability Services. It Is Time to Rebalance

Our System. Close the State Institutions Now! Support the 21,000 Children and

Adults on the Waiting List!
