March 5 - Cuts & Coffee at HP Library

Meet Me For " Cuts & Coffee " March 5th, 9:00 a.m., HP Library

Meet me on Saturday, March 5th from 9:00-10:30 a.m., at the

Highland Park Library Lobby for a “Cuts and Coffee†listening session where

I can hear your suggestions about ways to trim spending in the State of

Illinois. I am looking for the input of local residents, and am ready and

willing to listen to any and all suggestions about ways the state can save

money. The library is located at 494 Laurel Avenue in Highland Park.

I will have worksheets from the State Government Suggestion

Award Board for citizens to fill out to describe their proposals for spending

cuts which will be evaluated by the board. To encourage creative thinking on

reducing spending, new suggestions that are legal and result in actual savings

will result in a monetary award to the individual who proposes the cut.
