Guest guest
FYI... I always think it is good if we can support research in this area... Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... sibling relationships project Dear Ellen, My name is Burbidge and I am a PhD student at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. My dissertation research is focused on sibling relationships in adults who have a brother or sister with a developmental or intellectual disability. I am looking for adults, aged 25 to 69, who have a brother or sister with a disability and who might be interested in participating in my research. The study is done completely online, so I am hoping to recruit participants from all over North America. I am writing to ask whether IPADD might be able to help me with contacting siblings to let them know about my study. This could be done in a variety of ways, such as an email sent through a listserv, a notice in a newsletter, an notice through facebook or , or by you providing my contact information directly to some siblings who you know. I am flexible and willing to do whatever works best for your organization. Please let me know if this is something that your organization would consider participating in. Once the study is complete, I will send a summary of my findings to all participants and all organizations that assisted with recruitment. I have attached a recruitment flier to provide you with a bit more information about my study. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Your help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Burbidge -- Burbidge, MSc PhD Candidate Clinical Psychology Program Department of Psychology Queen's University 5jgb@...
