Arc and No Cuts to DD Services

Leaders in The Arc:

Once again thank you for your advocacy with the Governors office on no cuts for

disability services for Fiscal Year 2011, last week!

Today on a conference call with Director Teninty, the Director announced that

there would be no cuts for any service or rates through FY2011.

Funding is restored for the remainder of this fiscal year for the UIC Family

Clinic, Epilepsy Grants, SUI Telemed, Dental Grants, Respite (in-home), Voucher

Respite and Group Respite.

Your voices have been heard!

A somber reminder that these cuts and more are in the proposed state budget for

Fiscal Year 2012 which begins on July 1, 2011.

We continue to have our work cut out for us on the state budget.
