Last Fall, the Congressional Management Foundation surveyed 260 Congressional

staffers, asking them how they weigh constituent communications--email vs snail

mail, advocacy campaigns that generate form letters, and social media.

Short answer: in person visits to local offices matter a lot, snail mail and

email have equal value if they are individually written and are not form

letters.
