You are not alone, I've done the same thing, I've blocked out parts of 's

younger years. I belong to a group for Hyperlexic kids and when some of the

newbie's post things about their little ones I start having flashbacks, like his

fascination for ceiling fans, light switches, going in and out of doors, etc.

I can only say AMEN! I'll extend the issue to include family and

riends who often have no idea what stress they add when they do not

nderstand that sometimes it just isn't a good time to do whatever they

ant, or that we parents are sometimes just out of energy to do anything

eyond what our immediate household requires! Thankfully I have

urvived and life is easier, but I have whole periods of my life that I

on't remember because it was all so overwhelming. I see home movies

nd pictures and it is like viewing someone else's life.

Anyone else have that experience? Perhaps I am just going senile. Gloria
