SERN First Friday Entrepreneur's Forum - December 3rd

Make SERN First Friday Entrepreneurs Forum a part of your first Friday of the

month!

The next meeting of the SERN First Friday Entrepreneurs teleconference/webinar

forum will be Friday, December 3rd from 9 am until 10.

The Illinois Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) under the sponsorship of

the Medicaid Infrastructure Grant provided a series of training sessions this

fall on several topics pertaining to self-employment opportunities and options

for persons with psychiatric and addictions disabilities. Youth, persons with

criminal records, persons facing the challenges brought on by severe mental

illness coupled with addictions, persons with neurological disabilities, persons

interested in leaving residential settings and expanding their employment and

living choices have the right to choose and to receive the supports to succeed

in self-employment.

Gene Oulvey, Ph.D., the DRS coordinator of a! nd one of the presenters for the

fall sessions, will present lessons learned from these interactive training

experiences and offer a broad vision of possibilities for Illinois' citizens

with disabilities who desire a working life as an entrepreneur.
