Guest guest
I received the following email from Patti Bellock, my state representative. Since I have Clearbrook handle Angel's services, I am not in a position to really answer Rep Bellock's questions on this. If anyone wants to contact me offline so I can respond to this, my email addy is cmfinato@... Thanks From: Patti Bellock <rep@...> Subject: Re: RESCIND Executive Order 2009-15 cmfinato@... Date: Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 9:54 AM , I have recently been contacted by another constituent who provides home-based support services for his daughter. He told me that SEIU dues are automatically taken from his stipend and that there was a class-action suit on this issue. Can you give me any information on this? I know that I worked with you on this issue last year. You can reach me this afternoon (weather permitting) at the district office 630/852-8633, or my cell 630/772-1617. If you are not able to reach me at either number, please leave a message at the district office number rather than my cell. Thank you. Best regards, Patti Bellock
Guest guest
I think this person is receiving services from the DRS Home Services Program. They are unionized by SEIU. The DD Home-Based Support Services program is not. I'll call Patty. I have a good relationship with her. Guest guest
I just got off the phone with Rep. Bellock a few minutes ago. I think I helped her out, explained the differences between the two programs and suggested some other resources.
