We never told that there was anything he couldn't do, sometimes along the way he figured out for himself that he would never be an opera singer, as he wanted, and some other things. But I have another story too. I, too, had long fingers. Not doctors, but friends often commented on how I should be a great pianist. I took some lessons. Found out it takes more than long fingers. There is such a thing as talent, and interest. I never was any good at the piano or any other instrument. The only " benefit " of the long fingers, and toes too by the way, is that I go through the fingers of gloves and socks in no time at all. I wear men's gloves and sox most of the time, when they are needed. I have some lady's gloves for dress but don't wear them much. So encourage your child, by all means, but don't be too disappointed if he doesn't set the world on fire with his long fingers. Jessie, mom to , Kansas City ************** Start the year off right. He did job training there last school year. I don't know all of the details yet, we'll find out hours and such next week but this is a really big deal to us and had to share!
