Arranga of the AutismOne/Generation Rescue Conference at the TACA, Talk About

Curing Autism meeting on January 6, 2011 at St. Raphael Church in Naperville.

and will talk about ways for local parents and community members to

get involved in the conference, both prior to and during the 4-day event in

order to make the it the best yet. Teri will discuss the evolution of autism

science and the autism advocacy community. Get to know her and learn about her

efforts to educate parents of affected children, caregivers, medical

professionals, and therapeutic professionals by presenting this well attended

conference every May in our area. Wanda and will give you a sneak peak

at some of the special events happening at the conference next May. If you want

to meet the directors and discuss ways you can help make AutismOne the most

Teri Arranga is the director of Autism One (www.autismone.org), the vice

president of the Global Autism Collaboration (www.autism.org) and the secretary

of the Strategic Autism Initiative. Teri is the editor of Dr. Wakefield's

book Callous Disregard: Autism and Vaccines - The Truth Behind a Tragedy

(www.callous-disregard.com), which was published by Skyhorse Publishing, and she

contributed to the book Cutting-Edge Therapies for Autism, 2010-2011, which was

also published by Skyhorse Publishing. She is the host of the weekly program

Autism One: A Conversation of Hope on the VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness

Channel (www.health.voiceamerica.com), and she has been involved with a number

of media projects, including consulting for medical documentaries such as by

award-winning filmmaker Lina Moreco of Canada, appearing in the award-winning

documentary Beautiful Son, and consulting for the April 2007 Discover magazine

article " Understanding Autism. " Teri was the editor of The Autism File Global

magazine through the January 2011 edition. She received the National Autism

Association's Believe Award for 2008. Teri has been an active advocate in the

autism community for many years, including attending and broadcasting events in

Washington, D.C. Ed and Teri Arranga have two boys on the spectrum: Jarad, who

is 16 years old, and Ian, who is 12 years old.
