Guest guest
Hi everyone and Happy Holidays, I need some assistance – I would like to be the representative payee for my sister (I am her co-guardian, plenary). She currently resides in a CILA and I need to be able to monitor her assets better than what is being done since she has resided in this CILA with a day program. We love the day program and the housemates she has and have no intentions of moving her. I have ordered a copy of the guardianship papers to take to the Social Security office, and have downloaded the form (filled it out although I know that SS personnel need to fill it out themselves). The other co-guardian is in agreement that the representative payee should no longer be the non-profit organization that is a providing CILA and day program services. Is there anything that anyone is aware of that can prevent me from doing so? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Best, Leonor
