We were at Childrens downtown for an outpatient 13 day program and met with a

wonderful psy who helped immensely.

psych meds/hospitals

Hi all:

I have a request from a north suburban family for the best hospitals for

psych/medication evals. The child is a teen...

Any ideas?

Thanks.

If you go the Children's Memorial, see Dr. Pierce. I would go back her any day,

she was really down to the earth and focused on the long-term child/adult. We

just went through their inpatient/partial and are seeking outpatient at IL

Masonic. I don't know their capabilities for older kids but, I personally feel

that we are getting a better reading of our son from the staff at IL Masonic.

Hope this helps. Dr. Yeh and Dr. Msall are the attending physicians at IL

Masonic. Dr. Msall has 35+ years with developmental disabilities.

Dr pierce at children's memorial no longer sees outpatients. She directs the

partial hospitalization program and only sees those patients for the period of

time they are actively in the partial program. Good luck!!!

Yes it was Pierce we saw and loved but the sad thing is she doesn't. I would

hope she had a successor that is good as well.
