SEIU in NY dumps health insurance coverage for children of care attendants

We've had a lot of discussion about possible unionization of in-home

caregivers. A huge local of one of the major unions, SEIU, has dropped health

insurance coverage of dependent children for the unionized caregivers in NY.

They are blaming the new health care plan for sending up the costs of coverage,

and the state of NY for not picking up the rest of the tab.
