Guest guest
I still think the correct solution is for them to appoint ME queen of Illinois. Until there is an absolute monarch, there'll be political game-playing. Guest guest
Are you sure you wouldn't rather be a grand duchess? Then you could be called Her Serene Highness. I'm thinking that might be a nice change... Guest guest
I didn't see the link to the Trib endorsement; however, I do find that comment interesting about the Union endorsement as my husband is part of Local 150 and they made a huge telephone campaign to see who we were voting for and I'm sure all the rest of the " brothers " . I told them it really was a crap shoot because of all the things Quinn and his cronies have done and are doing that have crumbled the human services system; that I work in the Arts and Non-for-Profits as well and they've done their fair share of damage there.and maybe it was time for a change.and when I looked at Brady's website I didn't see anything that was against the Unions and wanting to break that up and threaten my husband's work on the roads..however, Brady, doesn't give me the warm fuzzies either. Just close our eyes and aim the dart?? BUT we have to get out and vote or there is no justifiable reason to complain. ~ Propheter

Guest guest
I would vote for a woman for governor in a minute. I believe given the balance needed between fiscal responsibility and compassionate care for those in our communities who are challenged, a woman's perspective would likely be the best prepared to provide the needed insight and leadership. I fear Bill Brady is too much about cutting services (strictly dollar focused), and Quinn rose from and is mired in the machine that got us into this mess and doesn't have the courage, insight nor desire to alienate the party's minions and lead us out. So goes most of the partitioning we are seeing nationally in our two-party, male dominated leadership. Guest guest
Normally, I feel like I am voting against someone - instead of voting for someone. Now I have 2 " against " . Guest guest
There is a third party candidate. Rich Whitney has some thoughtful ideas about how to rebuild the economy and definitely is not about machine politics or cutting social services. He has a web site that states his positions. Just don't think we need to lock in on the two party system that's worked hand in glove to get Illinois into this condition. Ellen K. Guest guest
Maybe if we think for a second...who is really controlling the purse strings down there? Perhaps the father of the Atty. General? Since he has put up a fake opposition party candidate in his own district to ensure his own re-election, perhaps its time to replace all the cronies around him???? my opinion (not the autism society!)
