Dear Families,

Ray Graham Association is ready to launch some new and innovative opportunities.

We are hosting a meeting to rollout this new package of services and to begin

the registration process.

a.. Monarch Academy: Using the community as a classroom, the Monarch Academy

fosters the development of a wide range of meaningful skills that facilitate

social relationships, self esteem, employment and recreation. The Academy is

designed for young adults who are eager to learn, enjoy an active schedule with

a wide variety of experiences and social interaction with peers. The Monarch

Academy is based out of our Hanson Center in Burr Ridge. Program will begin

January 4, 2010.

a.. Life Coaching: A customized future-focused service with the aim of

supporting people to develop and achieve personal goals. Life Coaches help to

identify the skills and capabilities that are within each person and enable

and/or empower them to use these skills to the best of their ability resulting

in increased independence, self esteem, and confidence. Life Coaches work

individually with people.

a.. Life Skills Training: An educational and fun set of courses offered by

professional Life Skills Instructors to promote lifelong learning and continued

skills enhancement. Courses include, but are not limited to, Simple and Healthy

Cooking, Positive and Healthy Relationships, and Finding and Keeping that

Perfect job. Program will begin January 4, 2010.

a.. Home and Community-Based Individualized Supports: This service provides a

fully trained personal support worker who can assist in an array of areas,

including, but not limited to, personal care, accompaniment to recreational or

community activities, in-home respite, and on-going in-home supports to maintain

independence and safety. This service is designed for children and adults.

Please refer to the attached flyer for additional information on the meeting

time and location. We expect enrollment for the Monarch Academy and the Life

Skills Training to reach capacity quickly, so we are encouraging you to come and

get a head start in completing the application process.

Best regards,
