Well, most of us oldtimers will say

GET THEE TO A HOMEOPATH PRONTO!!!

and that blood titers don't necessarily mean diddly. I've read of a woman who's

had the MMR shot 5 or 6 times, during, b4 , and after pregnancy and still no

antibodies when tested! Can you imagine? and now she's suffering the ill

effects.

My dad, my sister, and I all got chicken pox in our twenties. We all had it bad

but no complications and this was before I knew anything about herbs, a good

diet, homeopathy. It would have been even smoother with just a little help from

that. Just learn what to do just incase you get them and relax.

My son has a great homeopath that I highly recommend. She is very affordable

and works with us by email. Her website is: www.homeopathy2health.com

I'm sure someone already suggested this... but have you seen a homeopath for

your asthma? I'm hoping to find one I can afford and get rid of this blasted

acne (I'm 27, what the heck!) and psoriasis. It would probably be something to

look into so you can get rid of those steroids (bad bad bad for your immune

system).

I thought you couldn't get shingles unless you've already had chicken

pox.

My little sister had the chicken pox at the time, so it must have just been my

body's manifestation of the virus ::: shrug ::: Interestingly enough, a girl I

went through school with also had them as a child (not at the same time as I

did, since that was before I was school age). Don't know if she was exposed to

CPox as well. Thank goodness I was smart enough (as an adult, when I had

options) to realize that the vaccine was untested (they don't even know if the

" immunity " is life long) and since I've never had them, and been exposed a

bazillion times, I assume I'm all set anyway (though I still get a little

freaked out when someone around me gets them).

Eh, sorry, rambling, LOL.

I'd agree with you, . As I understand shingles, it's caused by the CP

virus not clearing the system and flaring up again when you get low. Afaik,

it is *always* caused by the CP virus. If you've had true shingles,

le, you must have been exposed to CP and maybe even had a mild dose?

I would suggest that you are not susceptible to CP, Toni. If you've been

exposed on multiple occasions and have never developed symptoms of CP then I

don't think you ever will. Sheri has an excellent article, probably in the

files area, on susceptibility. (Will have a hunt around.) We're all

exposed to dozens of viruses and bacteria each day, but we're not made ill

by most simply because we're not susceptible. I think this is one of the

basic concepts behind homoeopathy and it makes a lot of sense to me. I

wouldn't worry about it if I were you. The steroids are doing enough to

suppress your immune system without adding the assault of a vaccine as well.

I'd try and get a good homoeopath and get that asthma cleared from your

system. Have you had it since childhood or is it late onset?

Remember also that if one is dealing with a more serious problem (such as

autism or sever depression, etc) that the body isn't capable of handling the

new attack and " stores " it away for later. That's why autistic children

hardly suffer from colds. Doesn't mean they have an excellent immune

system, just that's it's busy dealing with something more serious.

And a Vax DOES NOT GUARANTEE no disease or a milder form of the disease.

And I do believe the CP vax is made from aborted babies if that's an

important issue with you....not to mention all the other foreign matters and

toxins.

From Jane Sheppard:

le,

Just in case you didn't already know - if you have acne or have ever had

severe acne, you are in the huge group of people that are more likely to

have serious reactions to the smallpox vaccine. Acne isn't usually mentioned

in the articles about reactions. I fall into this category as well. Still

have acne at age 43, but it's much better now due to holistic healthcare.

This article addresses acne holistically:

http://www.healthychild.com/database/acne_anguish_a_common_teen_age_problem.

Not that we need any more reasons to decline the smallpox vaccine.
