Hi, my best friend's baby boy is 3 months old....He has been vomiting about 1

ounce or so of his formula at every feeding, for the last 3 days, and is running

no fever....He eats about 4 ounces at a time, but about 1 ounce of that is

coming back up.....The vomit has had a clear, watery appearance to it, the last

2 days, but today, the baby is vomiting MORE and it is mostly all formula coming

up....He has vomited 3 times in the last hour, and she is taking him to the Ped

cause she is freakin.....I tried to help her as much I could, cause she asked me

to, but she hasnt listened to me before so I dont know if she will now, but then

again, sometimes it takes learning the hard way for people to believe....When

she was pregnant, I gave her lots of info on vaccines, and gave her one of my

books to read as well, but she never read any of it....She acted like she wanted

the info and was going to listen to me, but when it came down to it and when her

baby turned 2 months old, which was only one month ago, she went ahead and gave

him shots!!! The worst part of that though, is she gave him only TWO shots, and

they happened to be the worst of the bunch - the Hep B shot (Recombivax) and the

PREVNAR shot!!!! I know that Heb B vaccine has mercury in it, but doesnt the

Prevnar also have mercury in it too? Her baby didnt have the DTaP, or HiB, or

Polio, or anything else, which is what I thought was given at 2 months? He only

had those 2 shots? I specifically told her about Hep B vax itself, but she

doesnt listen to me! I told her months ago, if she was gonna vaccinate her baby

to please ask for the mercury-free shots to at least TRY and make it safer for

her baby, although the Ped may give the other kind anyway, and she asked what

shots had mercury in it and I told her and I made a point to tell her about the

Hep B shot being moved to 6 months instead of at birth or at 2 months like

before, and why, and then she goes and gets that shot of all shots!! Now she is

freaked out about her baby puking, she blames herself for not nursing him

longer, and she said " she doesnt want a sick kid " .....Well, she is also going to

the worst Ped in the entire county, which we all warned her about and how so

many babies have died because of him, and she still goes.....She calls me and

wants my advice and my help with her baby, but will never take my advice about

anything.....Why she would vaccinate for those 2 things of all things, is beyond

me.....I hate to tell her " I told you so " when her baby is like this and when

she is like this, but I need her to realize once and for all that those shots

are not safe for her baby!! She has to stay on WIC, so she may be vaxing just

for that reason alone! I told her that I would buy the freakin formula if need

be, until she can, because that is the kind of person I am and I would do

anything for a friend and especially a baby.....Ok, my question is, could her

baby just be allergic to the formula, since he is puking it up now and isnt

running any fever and is acting happy and just fine otherwise? Could this

puking be caused by those 2 shots he had a month ago? If so, how do I explain

that to my friend and what info could I show her that would pertain just to

vomiting and vaccines? If this IS an allergic reaction to his formula, how do I

make her realize and believe that the vaccines may have caused him to become

allergic, since she asked me " well why all of a sudden would he be allergic to

the formula he has been eating for 2 months? " How do I explain the whole

vaccines/sensitize/allergies issue, where she can believe it for once, cause it

will pertain to her baby? Is there any websites that have this info in

particular, and that mostly pertains to this situation, so she will finally

believe that her baby does not need to be vaccinated anymore?? She is a new

mother, is in her thirties, and knows nothing about babies at all....but she is

a great mother, even though she vaccinates, and stays home everyday with her

baby and does her best to care for him and calls me up when she gets scared and

needs a friend's advice....I just wish she would TAKE my advice instead of just

listening to what I say and doing nothing.

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but I am concerned about this baby having those 2

shots so early in age, when those shots are not normally given then I thought,

and I need to know what we can do about the vomiting, like Homeopathically, and

how I can make her realize the whole allergy/vaccine issue? Thanks for your

help and email me privately if you want to: mrjr@...

Hugs,

The baby is probably having problems with the formula. You should get her

information on relactating/building her supply.

Probably allergic to the formula.

And the vaccines didn't help and very likely are part of the problem

I agree with Sheri. My son didn't receive the Hep B until five weeks

old. He started to silent reflux after this vaccine.

Well tell her that.Offer the advice on relactation and one more time give the

vaccine info, and then next time she cries boo-hoo because she did not heed

warningd just say sorry to hear your child is sick and leave it at that.

Children get sick despite bm and no vaccines,so she should not think doing

those things will guarantee a healthy baby all the time. She should atleast

switch formula and add probiotics. As for the vaccines hey if she wants to

give the worst of the bunch that is hear choice. It's not like she can't

read. Why anyone would choose to give hepB above all the others is beyond me

though!

It takes time to develop allergies in some.Hope the kid feels better soon.

Just give her the info and let her decide. She is at this point the type who

will blame you if her baby gets ill as a result of taking any advice you

offer.
