Guest guest
Carol I live in Ny and yes hair testing is not allowed unless the doctor that is doing it has offices out of NY state too. That is what doctors data told me. I am calling a few docs to see what I can do. kelly
Guest guest
Carol, I'm no Dr, and as I understand it, a lab needs to undergo some sort of certification to be allowed to test there. Good luck, Ed cugoodson@... on 09/07/2000 10:55:44 AM Please respond to egroups autism treatmentegroups cc: (bcc: Decelie/CHASE) Subject: [ ] lab for NYers Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows why Doctor's Data cannot be used for those residing in NY state? Also, anyone here live in NY state? and what lab did you use? Would Great Smokies be recommended? I don't live there, but I am trying to help someone who does. Thanks, Carol G
Guest guest
Hi June, People on this list have said that NY doctors cannot use Doctor's Data, and I believe the lab has said this too. Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol, we live in NY state and the dr. who is treating my granddaughter is using Doctor's Data? Who told your NY friend she could not use them? -- June " Do little things with great love. Guest guest
Under NY state law, a doctor cannot order heavy metal hair analysis from any lab while practicing within the state. Our doctor told me that the state legislature passed this law because it was convinced that such testing had no merit. The law does not prohibit doctors from using Dr's Data lab for other tests. Guest guest
Hi Carol, I'm positive that my granddaughter's urine specimens are sent to Doctor's Data. I'll double check with my daughter and let you know for sure. -- June " Do little things with great love. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, thanks for clearing this up. The urine specimens are sent to Doctors Data. She has not had hair analysis done, but my daughter would like to do this as well. She has hair that she cut when she was pretty young. -- June " Do little things with great love.
